Nicholas II kept an unbelievably banal diary that is nevertheless fascinating because historical events later put them into context. No Trav, I'm not calling the Hollerer Banal (although comparing you to Russian Royal would be a heck of a way to do it, it'd be the opposite of what I call "a left-handed compliment" [insert appendage joke with antonymns here]) all I am saying is that I've now seen a bunch of blogs out there and most of the Diary format ones are really boring, even if they do have famous people writing them. The must interesting ones have some narrower theme (or themes) to make them of topical interest, even if the people are terribly boring. Case in point (sorry Louren) Wendy's Knitting Blog features a person who is practically a charicture of unexciting but she manages to capture what is interesting about her hobbies and in the process makes for fairly compelling writing.
Anyhow it's not so easy to have a good theme. And despite what TGI Friday's may have you believe "electic" is not really a theme.

"Too late or still too soon too soon to make lots of bad love and there's no time for sorrow. Run around, run around with a hole in your head 'til tomorrow."
